A first of its kind initiative by Indian transgender rights activist Kalki Subramaniam. Kalki is the founder of Sahodari Foundation, Kalki also works as a freelance scriptwriter of short documentary and animation films, is a web designer and a television compere!Kalki is extremely comfortable with technology and has used the internet as a tool for advocacy for more than 7 years. She regularly shoots short films. Project Kalki aims to create and empower under privileged transgender women as video bloggers telling stories of change, stories which inspire and touch their hearts in their communities and in the larger society.
Project Kalki is a unique digital platform for young under privileged Indian transgender women to voice their perspectives on issues that matter to then through video films.
This is a project inspired by Video Volunteers and Wave India.
